Good stuff. I think I'll buy it monthly to support future projects from Starlin.

This is the Marvel I can buy into.
I'm in.
First new Marvel I've bought since Mystery Men, about 10 years ago.

Well, $%$#@. And here I had been thinking "gee, comics must be evolving if they put a female character like Gamora in a costume that makes sense instead of some exotic bathing suit".

For those who are excited for this-have you read the 4 issue Infinity Entity min they did for Marvel last year that was a follow up to Starlin's trilogy of Thanos OGNs?
I was underwhelmed by the previews I saw of it and the last installment of the trilogy, so I skipped it altogether. If you read it, how was it?

I thought it was the best Starlin cosmic story since he left Dreadstar!!! I didn't read Infinity Entity. The previews weren't that enticing, as you say, and the story was clearly not going to have much of an impact, being squeezed between the last two OGNs. Too bad, because Davis's art is always a joy to behold.

Too bad, because Davis's art is always a joy to behold. A lot of what underwhelmed me in the final book was Ron Lim's art, which to me blunted the aspects of the book I liked and highlighted the things about it I didn't. I've always felt Starlin was strongest as a storyteller when he was doing the art himself, and when he writes for others he moves away from the things he does best or cannot get the artists to execute in a way that brings those things out the way he can when he does the art himself. I don't know if he approaches writing differently when he is doing the art, or if he thumbnails the art then writes the script or what, but he tends to change his scripting style to more of his prose/novel voice that he used in Among Madmen, Pawns, etc. when he is not doing the art, and his comic artist voice is his stronger storytelling voice, the prose/novel voice is not as appealing to me. It was also the voice he used for his Batman run, which on the whole is one of the weaker parts of his opus. -M
