Is there really not a thread for the Lego Batman Movie?
Just went to see it this afternoon with my youngest son, and all I can say is that it is probably the best Batman movie since Mask of the Phantasm. Incredibly funny for all ages. Tons of easter eggs for Bat fans of all stripes (comics, animated, movies). And it did at least as good a job of looking at what actually makes Batman tick as anything since Batman Animated. I honestly can't wait until it's on streaming or DVD so I can pause and catch all the visual stuff.
If you've ever been even a bit of a Bat Fan you owe it to yourself to see it.

And it had King Tut and Egghead. And the Lego Clayface was super cool looking. And I really want a Lego Man-Bat now.
And there was a nod to Ferris Air.
And the Phantom Zone villains they chose...HOLY MOLY!!

There was a mini-figure of the Eraser! How cool is that?

If I was stranded on a desert island, I'd rather have The Lego Batman Movie than all three Christopher Nolan Batman movies. It's really hilarious and brilliant and epic.

Went with my wife and daughters to see Lego Batman this afternoon, and I was blown away. This is easily in my Top 5 superhero movies of all time (only behind Winter Soldier and Civil War, and in the same league as Iron Man I, Blade II, and Ant-Man). The sheer amount of Easter eggs and laugh out loud moments made it an incredibly fun experience to share with my family.
My older daughter, who is a huge geek about both Harry Potter and Doctor Who, nearly exploded in delight as the Phantom Zone villains were revealed, and our favorite line from the entire movie was from Joker introducing the PZ villains to earth, when he said "...and British robots. Ask your nerd friends." She looked at me with sheer excitement in her eyes, gave me a little fist bump, and put her head on my shoulder for the rest of the movie.
So glad we went to see this instead of Beauty and the Beast, although I will have to take them to that as well in the next few weeks. Thank goodness the matinees at our local theater are only $4.

It's been released on blu-ray now and that's a good thing. After watching it on demand, I think I'm gonna wear out the pause button on the remote trying to spot ALL these great easter eggs.
An all-around terrific, laugh-out-loud film, easily one of the three best Batman films ever made to date.

Watched this on HBO as it aired last night. It is just as fun as the original LEGO movie but even crazier and definitely requires multiple viewings in order to fully appreciate it and to catch all of the references.

I did that too visiting a dear friend who have HBO and he recorded it and that's allows us multiple viewings to appreciate the impact and the meaning of this movie. I'm going to watch it again later on Wednesday and get another crack at it. I loved this movie very much.

Just watched it again with the 3 and 5 year old boys. Fun fun fun! Such a delightful movie. The Super Fruends dance party is my favorite segment.
