So news out of Toyfare is that Super7 is ramping up the ReAction line they partnered with Funko for. These are the folks behind the Hellboy figs I was jazzed about. Bunch of new lines coming out including Planet of the Apes based on the classic original '68 film, Robotech, Shogun Warriors and the shock and delight one for me...Kirby's Lords of Light. Toy Ark has pics from their Toy Fare display... herethough some are only protoypes not actual figs on display. Funko is still doing stuff for the line too, including a new batch of Batman '66 figures that look cool too. -M

Many of these look amazing, but I'm extremely disappointed that they're using the Robotech license to produce small untransformable veritech fighters instead of the actual characters. The original Robotech action figure line was of such poor quality that I was really looking forward to an update.

Yeah, the original Robotech figure line wasn't all that good. I still have Rick Hunter who looks halfway decent, and Rand who looks terrible. A rebooted figure line would be sweet.
Shogun Warriors look interesting. The only figure I had was the small die-cast collector figure of Dragun. Great Mazinger would be cool, used to love the old Tranzor Z cartoon.

It's pretty silly to make figures of transforming robots that don't transform.

I never had any of the Matchbox Robotech figures back in the '80's because, for the most part, they looked like crap. However, I did have some of the vehicles, i.e. the SDF-1 & some of the other ships, since at least some of them looked decent.
