I may pick this up simply for Art Baltazar and Franco.
I can honestly say I have little or no connection to the characters though.

I have a soft spot for Harvey Comics characters. Those were the first comics my parents read to me. Even when I was able to read on my own & loved other comic book genres (heroes, war, science fiction)I still read Harvey Comics.

I remember those comics fondly, although I have no particular nostalgia for them. But if they produce more comics to let little kids interested in the form, more power to them.
Now when they get some A-list creators to revive B-Man, Shock Gibson, Jigsaw, Spyman, et al, I will pay more attention.

I'm kind of into "Addams Family/The Munsters" style horror where it's more "jokey" than "scary", so of course I'm happy for more Hot Stuff

With all the success the Archie property is experiencing, the copyright holder for the Harvey characters would be a fool not to try to cash in. That being said, Archie's newfound success didn't happen by accident -- it was the result of bold decisions and a quality product. Imitations and rivals are going to have to be ready to deliver.

Agree. Outside of the looonng delays with Adam Hughes' Betty & Veronica the rest of the titles were well planned & mostly on time (every 4-6 weeks). Hopefully this will be similar.

Not to mention the Riverdale TV Series being done by CW ... they should go after them too? ... BTW, I like Riverdale and I did not catch it until @mrjupiter mentioned to us awhile back. I was stunned how well it is.

How does this work? Joe Books is publishing the Harvey Hits anthology (one shot?) at the same time American Mythology is publishing a Casper ongoing.

Yes, but the Harvey artwork seems to look like it will cartoony funny books as opposed to the serious nature that the Archie line has adopted.

I had a few of the Harvey Comics. I remember having some Casper comics and a couple with Hot Stuff. I have very fond memories of the Casper cartoon show coming on the local UHF channel! Great to see these characters appearing again!
