XTC had a song called "Sgt. Rock (Is Going to Help me)" that reached #16 on the UK Singles Chart in 1980. They also had songs about Supergirl ("You're Really Super, Supergirl") and Brainiac ("Brainiac's Daughter" in their alternate identity as Dukes of the Stratosphear). As a tribute to this Alex Ross and Mark waid but a background character called Brainiac's Daughter into Kingdom Come.

I also recall there was a MASH episode that showed Radar reading comics, one of which was a silver age Avengers. Since MASH was set during the Korean War (early 50's), somebody screwed up.

A Charlton war comic is used as a prop in Duran Duran's music video for "Rio."

Then there is of course this famous scene in "Only Fools and Horses",
though it's directly based on the TV-series rather than the comics.

I never watched the show much, but I remember the youngest kid on Kate and Allie was a big fan of Marvel Comics and often was shown reading them on screen, he even dressed in a really bad Spider-Man costume in one episode... -M

Several vintage issues of The Dandy are scattered around the body of the murder victim in the Poirot episode "Dead Man's Folly".

I just finished reading Homer's Odyssey: A Fearless Feline Tale and they compare their blind cat (Homer) to Daredevil several times.

I wasn't looking for pop references in ARCHER when I started a big re-watch of the episodes, but I did catch an improbable reference to MARMADUKE in one ep called "Crossing Over." In one episode of Archer they made a Nightcrawler reference and, in another episode, they made a reference to Cypher, whom Pam called "the gayest X-Man ever".
