It's been a while since we did it, but we did have a Favorite Comic Book Saga of all Time voting event here back in 2014. You can see the results in this threadI am sure some of the voting would be different if we did this again, but it was a massive undertaking for Shax, who tallied and sorted all the entries. -M PS I voted for the Quest for Eternity by Steve Ditko & Stan Lee from Strange Tales #130-146 as my #1 entry on the list. It may have been bumped down a notch by the Complete Bone saga (which I hadn't read when the event was held), I'm not sure and wouldn't know until I actually had to vote which one would get the edge this time around. PPS It may even predate this site but the results were carried over with us when we migrated here...

When we had the top saga survey I voted for Green Lantern #76-89, But I might change it to Avengers #89-97. The Kree Skull war was epic in scope and introduced the conflict between the two races and was so big that it brought back the big 3 (Iron Man, Thor, Cap) back into the book for a good long while. The classic art by Adams ,and the two Buscema's made it one of the best drawn stories of all time.

Alan Moore's run on Captain Britain, the "Jaspers Warp" storyline which ran from Marvel Superheroes #387 (1982) to Mighty World of Marvel #13 (1984).

I remember The Comics Reader did a poll some years ago and Fantastic Four #48-#50 won as best story of all time. Not a bad choice.

I remember The Comics Reader did a poll some years ago and Fantastic Four #48-#50 won as best story of all time. Not a bad choice. I would choose the later Lee/Kirby remake, Silver Surfer: The Ultimate Cosmic Experience over the original, which sounds like sacrilege until you actually read it. My #1 changes all the time. I'm re-reading Corto Maltese: Ballad of the Salt Sea for the fourth time in four years as part of Graphic Novel Quest 2017, so it's probably my #1 these days. Used to be Dave Sim's Cerebus, but I'm loving it less as I re-read it these days for The Cerebus Reading Society; still brilliant, but no longer my favorite.

The one that stands out the most to me and that I enjoy reading to this day is The Great Darkness Saga that appeared in Legion of Super Heroes. The art, the mystery, all the characters--that story had me enthralled at 9 years old and I couldn't wait for the next issue. I still have my original LSH issues with this story and I have the collected edition.

I'm not sure what I put back in 2014, but off the top of my head the contenders would be Fables first big uber story arc(1-75... probably #1).. Armor Wars...Great Darkness Saga (which I may have read after I saw it on alot of those lists)...West Coast Avengers SPace Time storyline... maybe the original PAD 2099 run (not exactly a single story, though)

Hmm, I thought I had read most of the major Avengers sagas, but I'll have to try to find this Free Skull War storyline. Does it involve the Red Skull? -M I scoff at challengers to my king of typos throne!

Alan Moore's Swamp Thing Annual #2
The classic story of Swamp Thing venturing into Hell to rescue Abby. Not to mention one of the most frightening panels in comics history between Swamp Thing and Anton Arcane.
I don't know if anything will ever top that for me.

Sandman 1-75 plus the Special. I consider it one long story about stories.

Invisibles for me. Hit at just the right time as I was growing up. Life changing is probably exaggerating things a bit, but definitely affected my development in a big way.
