I haven't paid any attention at all to what DC Comics archive type books are out there, other than Golden Age Batman and Superman. I focus on my beloved original Marvel Universe. That said, I was reading md62's review thread on Detective 469-479 and wondering if something like that's ever been collected in a trade or anything. My chosen Marvel archive type book is their Masterworks format. I have absolutely no idea what to even look for in a search for Batman archive type books. Any idea what I would search for? Also, any recommendations on DC collected archive material? Thanks.

The Neal Adams Batman Omnibus collects a nice chunk of the classic stuff from the late 60's and 70's.
Although Adams recolored it all and it has a newish, slick feel to it that feels out of place IMO.
There's also the inclusion of the craptastic Batman: Odyssey series that I could've done without and shaved $20-30 dollars off the collection.
