I began noticing a few days ago that, occasionally, I'd be typing a reply, and suddenly my cursor and ability to reply would vanish until I clicked the reply window again, and it would happen again a few moments later. It took me several days of analysis to figure out it is being caused by a specific malfunctioning advertisement being displayed on our site. I am currently in the process of trying to find this ad again, now equipped with the tools to identify its publisher so that I can permanently block it from our site. It's a black screen with an animated loading image surrounding a red play button. Please be patient with this; I hope to have the problem solved soon. In the meantime, if you experience it, just reload the page until you get a different ad.
@mechagodzilla, is this the problem you were talking about a few weeks back?

I couldn't understand how ads in general were causing your issue, but a malfunctioning ad makes sense. Once I have it fixed (hopefully I'll catch it today) maybe you'll consider unblocking ads again  |

shaxper - If you manage to get this fix anyway you can and I can be patience about it and once you are satisfied tag me on this thread and as soon it's fixed - I'll be glad to disable my ad block for you.

I have had the same issue. When I clicked on the "X" in the ad, I was able to type again.

I have had the same issue. When I clicked on the "X" in the ad, I was able to type again. As soon as I can "catch" the ad, you won't even have to do that anymore. I'm now equipped with the tools to identify its source and block it permanently. Sorry this has been an inconvenience. |

Finally nailed it tonight! I not only blocked it; I reported it to Google as well. This should fix the problem (hopefully for you too, @mechagodzilla). The ad is somehow back. I have blocked it, but there seems to be a delay in the block taking effect. Sorry for any inconvenience caused in the meanwhile.
