Wow. You really did edit in the correct pronunciation of Roberto's name I loved that part! I picked up the Afterlife with Archie trade today because of this podcast Crimebuster. I had read the first few issues as they came out but missed one somehow and couldn't find it so I bowed out. I'm pretty surprised they only have the first five issues collected, are Archie books normally slow to be collected?

The last issue, #10, came out back in August. #11 hasn't come out yet, and I think it's part of the same arc, so they probably haven't collected it yet because of that. Only 2 issues came out last year.

It's because the writer is the showrunner and writer for the Riverdale TV series and is spending all his time on that.

Wow, that's cool that there's that level of cross pollination between the show and the comics. Is the show good? I've been meaning to check it out as the commercials looked good.

Well, it has a Metacrtic score of 68 and a Rotten Tomatoes score of 87. So critics like it. I'm iffy on it - I watched the first 4 episodes but haven't watched the rest yet. Interesting as an Archie fan, but I probably wouldn't personally watch it otherwise. And my girlfriend, who knows nothing about Archie Comics, watched the first episode and thought it was so terrible she couldn't abide ever seeing it again. I'm just lucky she didn't dump me for recommending it to her!

It's a great companion to the Archie reinventions we've seen in the past few years: Life with Archie, Afterlife with Archie, and now Riverdale that is Life in Twin Peaks with Archie. Plenty of Easter eggs for old fans, but anyone who enjoys spooky mysteries set in small town America would probably enjoy it. My wife, who isn't an Archie reader, thought the first two episodes were very bleak and depressing... but is now addicted to the show.

Hmm, I'll probably check it out my next day off and see how I feel about it.

It's fascinating just to hear shax talk. It's not at all like I expected his voice to sound and I suspect that this will be the case for future interviewees as well.

Not what I expected either -- all awkward and nasal But yeah, that is definitely a fun part of this. CB has a natural voice for this, and I sincerely hope we get to hear Cei-U!'s golden voice on there soon.
