Yeah, they're in alphanumerical order by title. The spines of the three different ASM Masterwork styles alone would freak me out!!!

I see what you mean. It's a rather hodge podge- looking collection.

As promised, here are some current close-ups of the comics-related contents of my bookshelves. This first bookcase is the twin of the entertainment center in my living room, both hand-me-downs from my late father's business. The top shelf, not pictured, houses my James Clavell, Stephen King and Joseph Wambaugh paperbacks, plus Pez dispensers, breakfast cereal toys, and random knicknacks, all presided over by Smokey Bear, my constant companion in early childhood. The second shelf holds my DC Archives and my DC Direct JSA PVC figurines, a gift from our pal Dino "Dr. Cyclops" Pidone. There was room for my set of "The Greatest [DC] Stories Ever Told" books, my Graphitti Press slipcase edition of Kingdom Come, and a few other higher end items. Cei-U! My Dr. Fate figure is in the shop!

The next shelf down has my Marvel Masterworks. These are the original volumes from the mid- to late-'80s. The Marvel Vault was a "thank you" gift from Roy Thomas for my work on the All-Star Companion series. My other Marvel TPBs are here, too. Cei-U! That's the Silver Age JSA PVC set, by the way, also a gift from Dino!

The interior shelf of the bookcase is where my syndicated strip collections reside. I hate hiding them away like this but I ran out of displayable bookshelf space! Those are San Diego program books laying across the top, souvenirs of my trips to that fabled gathering as a guest of CBR legend Tim "fly on the wall" Morrison. Good times! Cei-U! More tomorrow!

Very nice! What' are the contents of The Marvel Vault? Is that something that was available to the general public?

Not pictured - My Lone Wolf & Cub digest-sized collections (28 volumes), as they're on another shelf that's cluttered with other stuff. Those huge Paul Dini/Alex Ross DC graphic novels from a few years back. See above. The contents of my rather intimidating unread stack, as I haven't read and shelved them yet.

Your books defy the laws of gravity. Its why my anime VHS are on only one shelf now. Gravity won on that one.

Continuing our tour of my library/office's bookshelves, we move on to the enormous whitewashed bookcase that holds the bulk of my TPB collection (among other things). The top of the case (not pictured) hosts the rest of my paperback fiction: Tolkien, Burroughs, Anne Rice, lots of mysteries. The first shelf is multipurpose: As of late, it's also the home of the reference material I bought for my TwoMorrows gig, books covering radio, pulps, Westerns, etc. The L. B. Cole book is on loan from the esteemed Rob Allen. Bringing up the rear are my DC Universe TPBs. Cei-U! To be continued...
