There's a Hidden Valley Ranch Salad dressing video ad that keeps loading at the bottom of the page and playing on a loop. It is loud (with no visible stop or mute button option) and starts playing as the page is loading adding to the load time on my older computer. It loads in one of the 2 ad boxes below the new ad feature (the one that uses threads from the site). Usually video ads in those boxes only play if you click or roll the mouse over them, or have stop/mute options. This one is different.
I don't mind the ads and I don't use ad block since they support the site, and I am not sure if this is one of those ads the site has no choice about because of proboards contracts, but if it is one we can get rid of, can we please do so as it is very intrusive and I would rather close the browser or leave the site than endure it when it is playing?
Thanks for the time and attention you may need to spend to look into this if you can.

It's very much one we can get rid of. Problem is, as the ads are targeted based upon your browser history, I'm not seeing it yet (most of my ads are for Sling, for some reason). Once I do, I can block it permanently. Hopefully, I'll have it caught by tomorrow!

It showed up 4 or 5 times yesterday evening and post-midnight, but after I shut the machine down for the night and started her up today, it hasn't shown up, but I haven't been on the site much today, so not yet today. If it shows up again, I will post, but so far, it hasn't popped up. -M |
