OOF! missed this thread somehow from 2017. Mind you, as I cycle through these faves it is usually 2-3 years between re-reading.From ICC: That's a lot of re-reading, man.As I said, I won't hit them more than once every few years while some I skip around on depending upon the mood. Rather re-read what I enjoy than trying to keep up on current comics. Example: Elfquest I am reading again with the new collected trades and I hadn't read the floppies in closer to 10 years? I have the GI Joe Trades collecting the entire Marvel series to read but didn't include them as I have yet to sit and dig into them as I instead I'm reading the newer IDW trades with Hama continuing the series. Then there are those current series I get or drop that may eventually find their way into the re-read group. As I will usually take a month or so reading through a collected series and then move onto the next and then to the next it means by the time I work my way through all of them (and current/newly bought goodies) to return to the 1st one I am ready to explore it again with fresh eyes.

Currently in the middle of a re-read of Transmetropolitan. I'd guesstimate it's my fourth time through the entire series.

I re-read some books also, but I feel a little guilty as I have way too many books that I own that I haven't read yet.

Too much goodness to keep up with and always finding more. I hope retirement allows me time enough to if not see/read/watch them all, then at least making a dent before I croak...

Reminds me of Burgess Meredith breaking his reading glasses when he finds he’s the remaining living person on earth.

There's stuff I've revisited to see if my opinion changed or that I don't remember but will not revisit again, and things I used to reread a lot but no longer have the desire to revisit again. So making a list of stuff I reread, it would have to be stuff I have read at least 3 times and would be willing to read again, and so here's that list...
Bone by Jeff Smith Hicksville by Dylan Horrocks Understanding Comics and Making Comics by Scott McCloud Swamp Thing by Wein & Wrightson Planetary by Ellis & Cassaday Batman Year One by Miller and Mazzuchelli Batman: The Dark Knight Returns by Miller & Janson Metamorphosis Odyssey by Starlin The Spirit by Will Eisner (or pretty much any Eisner) Criminal by Brubaker & Phillips Justice League by Giffen/DeMateis & Maguire Astro City by Busiek, Ross & Anderson (original mini + Homage series) Sandman by Gaiman and friends DC The New Frontier by Darwyn Cooke The Parker adaptations by Darwyn Cooke The Incal by Jodo/Moebius Lone Sloane by Druillett Dr. Strange by Ditko & Lee Conan by Busiek & Nord Conan by Thomas and BWS Books of Magic by Gaiman and friends
there's a few that could make the list someday but I haven't read them more than twice yet
Fax from Sarajevo by Joe Kubert Yossel by Joe Kubert Tex by Joe Kubert World of Edena by Moebius Fatale by Brubaker & Phillips Saga by Vaughn & Staples Usagi Yojombo by Stan Sakai (though there are parts I haven't gotten to yet) Trillium by Jeff Lemire Wednesday Comics (anthology) Solo (anthology) Alan Moore's Swamp Thing Finder by Carla Speed McNeil Castle Waiting by Linda Medley Guns of the Dragon by Tim Truman
and probably a few more I am not thinking off the top of my head.

I've done very little re-reading the past several years, mainly because I'm so far behind on new stuff I've bought over that time - both new stuff from the past few years and new-to-me stuff that was published earlier but that I haven't read yet.
The last time I did re-read things in depth was probably ten or more years ago when I read the entire Tomb of Dracula and MoKF. Before that, it would have been Love and Rockets, which I would often re-read in part or in whole when a new collection came out. And I re-read the Eternals and New Gods several times as well.
Wait, I just remembered, I re-read a few Moench/Gulacy miniseries when Shaxper was doing his review threads a few years back - Six from Sirius 1 & 2, for sure, maybe another one as well, though maybe not as nothing else comes to mind at the moment.
When I was at the height of my Marvel reading in the 70s I would often re-read favourites such as ToD, MoKF, a lot of Gerber's stuff, Englehart's Dr. Strange, ... too many to list them all, really.

I re-read a lot of stuff (thus justifying my keeping so many comics at home, much to my wife's chagrin).
These past two years I recall re-reading the Lt. Blueberry series, Saga, The Legion, Cerebus, the Glénat Conan books (at the price they cost, they'd better be read multiple times!), Locas, Burne Hogarth's Tarzan, Joe Kubert's Tarzan, and I've just finished re-reading The Summit of the Gods.
Usually I don't plan such re-readings; typically, I'll just pick a title (to pass the time on the toilet, say) and get caught in the story, going through the entire series over the course of a few weeks.

I stopped reading comics on the toilet long ago when the cell phone became a thing.

I've re-read the original Elfquest books (#1-20) and the Byrne years X-Men (#111-142) the most times I think which is at least three times all the way through with many years between. The original Starlin Warlock run at least twice, but maybe three as well as I did have the '80s reprint thing (and that was the first time I actually read the Two-in-One Annual), I'm not sure if it's that good or just open to meaning being projected on it.

I might not frequent a LCS anymore, but I'm still a regular.
