I don't think it's the most dynamic colour scheme, but this issue holds a special place in my memory:

BTW, I love the idea for this week's contest and my first thought was that I'd be spoiled for choice amongst all the covers featuring my favourite heroines; but the search has made me realise what a disappointingly small number of them there are for favourite characters like Crystal, Medusa, Valkyrie, Thena, Mantis, Moondragon, Barda, Clea, Sif, and on and on.
Of course there's an obvious reason for that: almost none of them have ever starred in a series of their own. I think Valkyrie had a miniseries a few years ago, but usually she's part of a team like the Defenders or Avengers, and the same is true of the others unless they're perennial supporting characters like Sif or Clea, or unclassifiable like Thena and the Eternals. OTOH, those heroines who do get their own series tend not to be amongst my favourites. A lot of them are just female knock-offs of previously established male characters like Batman or the Hulk or whatever; and most of the others don't appeal to me for one reason or another.

I apologize to Frank Quitely , Crumb draws the ugliest women in comics. By Crumb's own volition (from the documentary I watched about him) it is completely intentional on his part to draw women unconventionally and over-powering (which comes off as big "husky" or muscular women). He seemed to have this obsession at a young age with women being physically and authoritatively imposing. It was a pretty good documentary, for me beforehand, not really knowing anything about him. But it wa sad what happened with his brother. But all that said, I agree. Id go with Ron Lim or Carmine Infantino as ugliest women drawn.

Crimebuster because nothing beats a nurse attacking Nazi's with a sword in one hand and a gun in the other. This was a hard choice ( no pun intended).

Seriously... probably one of the toughest contests we've had. I mean, anyone of these could win this week but we have to pick one.....
