I think it would be pretty cool to be able to read the early Marvel Universe in the order it came out. Maybe starting with FF 1 and continuing on through the end of the Silver Age. Anyone here try something like that?

Why lucky? I'm old now Anyway, if you follow Slam Bradley's thread on early Marvel, many of those early comics were pretty crappy. Early Iron Man, Thor, Strange Tales with the Human Torch and especially Ant-Man would only appeal to little children and at best were funky-bad comics. Ditko Spider-Man and Dr. Strange, along with the FF after the first year showed true promise. The Marvel Universe before 1964 was very hit-and-miss to a discerning reader

There's also the Marvel Chronology project, which has lots of reading orders, if you're into that sort of thing.
