Where were The Frankenstein Monster and Werewolf By Night based? The Werewolf (Jack Russell) grew up in L.A. He also spent time in San Francisco. That was where Spider-Man first encountered him while on an assignment for the Bugle which he took to take his mind off Gwen's recent death; the two meet and battle on the Golden Gate Bridge .

Brother Voodoo and Simon Garth were both located near New Orleans. Satana moved to Los Angeles in the pages of Vampire Tales. Where were The Frankenstein Monster and Werewolf By Night based? I think Werewolf By Night was in Los Angeles for a while, but also did a lot of roaming around. I'm not sure about Frankie, though. Edit: Oh, you beat me to it, Phil.

The monster of Frankenstein was mostly in Europe, really... He was in the states for a very short trip only.

Taking some of the X-Men individually:
Banshee chose to stay on Muir Island with Moira which was close to his home of Ireland. He also operated in the European theater as an agent of Interpol.
Wolverine's home away from home was Canada.
Sunfire operated out of his homeland of Japan.
What about Betsy Braddock? She started off in the UK, helping her brother Brian by filling in as Captain Britain IIRC.

If we're talking about characters who didn't have their own solo series, I feel obliged to mention Shamrock from Ireland, Le Peregrine from France, Talisman from Australia, the Soviet Super Soldiers and the Red Guardian from Russia, Blitzkreig from Germany, Sabra from Israel, the Arabian Knight, the Collective Man from China, Defensor from Argentina, El Aguila from Spain, the Rangers from Texas, and Razorback from Arkansas.

I was originally thinking of characters with their own series, or at least a character who got a significant number of appearances, like "A" listers and "B" listers, but heck, why not go for all of them? I think you must have been reading Contest of the Champions recently, tingrametro.

Man-Thing mostly hangs around Citrusville, Florida.
Shang-Chi had a flat in London, and then could be found in Stormhaven Castle in Scotland.

Spider-Woman was once based in Los Angeles, and then in San Francisco. Hah, I was just thinking "Was it LA...or SF?"

The Shroud, as well. There was an "arc" in MTU where Peter was sent on assignment and encountered both of them in consecutive issues.
