As I think we all realize, the vast majority of Marvel superheroes during the Silver and Bronze Age (especially during the Stan Lee era) were based in and around New York City. For no particular reason, I got to wondering about Marvel superheroes who weren't based in the NYC area (that includes Westchester County and Long Island). I'm no Marvel historian, but this is what I came up with off the top of my head
New Mexico The Hulk and his supporting cast were based here. This is really the only example of a Stan Lee hero I can think of who wasn't based in NYC, except for the Silver Surfer, whose home base was basically the whole world...and perhaps Iron Man? The Angel had a mansion in New Mexico. So, the Defenders were based there for a while when he was on the team, and the X-Men spent some considerable time there. Also, IIRC, Havok and Polaris wen to college in New Mexico, though they weren't really superheroing at the time. EDIT: Ghost Rider roamed the southwest, I believe, though I don't know exactly which state(s).
California The Champions, of course, were based in LA. Daredevil and the Black Widow wen to San Francisco in the early 70's. The West Coast Avengers started in 1984. Iron Man has also spent a lot of time there, though I'm fuzzy on the time-frame for him being in Cali. I heard a rumor that the X-Men were in San Francisco for a time, as well as Australia, but I think that both of these things happened after the Bronze Age, and certainly well after the X-Men jumped the shark, in my humble eyes.
Florida The Man-Thing, of course, is based in the Everglades. Captain Marvel was based in Cape Canaveral, Florida, for the duration of his 1968 title, and when Carol Danvers became Ms. Marvel, she moved to NYC (of course) but still spent a good chunk of time in Cape Canaveral. I guess the Scott Lang Ant-Man is a Floridian, but I haven't read a Scott Lang story in a long time, and I don't remember how much Florida really featured in his stories.
Chicago Thor moved there in the early 80's
Milwaukee Great Lakes Avengers. OK, this isn't really Bronze Age, even if I stretch the definition to 1987, since they didn't appear until 1989. So sue me.
So what am I missing? Plenty, I'm sure. Was Captain America ever based in Washington? I can only recall him in NYC.

Not technically a super-hero, but if you're counting Man-Thing, then this should count as well.
Cleveland, OH After starting out in the Everglades along with Man-Thing, Howard the Duck eventually wound up residing in the Mistake by the Lake.

Thanks.

Captain Britain, Spitfire and Union Jack were all based in or near London, though only the Captain had his own series. The rest of the heroes in the Marvel UK line were either based in America (Night Raven) or outer space or didn't appear until after the Bronze Age.The Invaders were based in Britain for most of their run, albeit Britain in WWII. Shang Chi and Dracula also spent much of their respective series' in the UK, while Alpha Flight were obviously in Canada, and Ka-Zar and Shanna were technically in Antarctica. Rom was based in West Virginia for much of his run.

Also, Marvel's other World War II based super team, the Liberty Legion, were based in Washington in their few appearance, IIRC.

I've read all of their Bronze Age appearances (not a hard thing to do) and I can't remember where they were based, but I remember they seemed to spend most of their time in NYC. Still, if they were based in Washington, then good catch!

As I recall, the Son of Satan stayed for a good while in St. Louis and then moved to D.C. (Washington D.C., that is... not the distinguished competition).

Brother Voodoo and Simon Garth were both located near New Orleans.
Satana moved to Los Angeles in the pages of Vampire Tales.
Where were The Frankenstein Monster and Werewolf By Night based?
