Might be a few differences from the novels but looks very good!
Elba is a very interesting choice for Roland and can't wait to see his performance. McConaughey seems like the perfect slick choice for the Man in Black.

I never read a line of the Dark Tower, so this will be brand new to me. Elba is one cool actor, which doesn't hurt at all.

It looks like it might be a decent action movie, but from that trailer it looks way too simplistic to be a decent adaptation of the Dark Tower.

This is another cycle, where Roland will have the Horn of Eld, so every change from the books is intentional.

Yeah, I've read that it was meant to be another cycle, so I was expecting change to be sure but, at least from this trailer, it looks like a generic sci-fi western to me. It is just the first trailer but it leaves me feeling a little disappointed, as it seems too loud and action focused where the books, like a good western, were more about the quiet moments. |

I picked up the Blu-Ray on Black Friday and finally sat down to watch it.
It was a pretty good movie, but I think the short runtime actually hurt it.
