Which was your favorite? Mine are:
1. Englehart/Rogers Batman in Detective # 469-479. (with Walt Simonson art on 469 & 470 & Len Wein scripts on 477-479).
2. Stern/Bryne Captain America in # 247-255.

I would also add Fleisher w/ Aparo (& Chan) on the Spectre in Adventure Comics # 431-440 as one of my favorite short runs. If that had been in the poll, it would have gotten my vote, so I have voted other.... -M

I like both a lot, but I'm inclined towards more Englehart and Rogers' Batman.

Is this open ended, or do you specifically want us to choose between the two?

Stern/Byrne by a landslide. Not even close. I loved Steve Englehart at Marvel, but none of his DC work did much for me. (Except for Night of the Stalker which might be the best Batman story ever - But wasn't drawn by Marshall Rogers.)

A mod could rename the thread Favorite Short Runs from the Bronze Age & remove the poll.

If those are my choices, I'll take the Stern/Byrne Cap (mostly because I don't care for Rogers' art) but I prefer the Micheline/Layton Iron Man, the Severins' Kull, Moench/Gulacy on Master of Kung Fu and the Wein/Dillin JLA to either of them, and the Haney/Aparo Brave & Bold over all of them.
Cei-U! I summon the multiple answers!

I'm a fan of the Claremont/Byrne run on Marvel Team-Up, which wasn't perfect, but it transcended the format (Spidey or Human Torch + someone else) in a way that most of the other creators on the title could not.

I'll second (or third) Aparo and Fleischer on The Spectre.
And I'm just now discovering Super-Villain Team-up.

This is Post #200 - just kind of snuck up on me.

Stern/ Byrne on Cap is excellent, but I prefer Englehart/ Rogers on Batman.
Another serious challenger would be Englehart/ Dillin on Justice League of America.

If we are opening it up to all short runs from the Bronze Age, three 70s Marvel Kirby runs make it for me...
Eternals Black Panther Devil Dinosaur
and Goodwin & Simonson on the Manhunter back up series
and Claremont (with Byrne) on Iron Fist and the first handful of Power Man & Iron Fist team ups.
