And so another Jamie Awards comes to a close, a third year in our lives together concluded. Amazing how fast time flies. Thanks, as always to everyone who participated, and a heartfelt congratulations to every member of this community, whether you won, were nominated, or just deserved to be. There were only ten awards to go around, but we all make this place what it is. Thank you!
The awards are 792 x 200, and are designed to be the ideal size to work as a banner for those who feel like rightfully flaunting their win. In past years, no one took me up on this idea, but I think my photoshopping skills are getting better, so maybe this time

THE RESULTS
The Professor X Award (Best Discussion Starter)
shaxper
"about half of the great new discussion threads are started by our founder, and they're not variations on a theme either; they're brand new and original. 'Letter pages that lied' comes to mind." -- Roquefort Raider
Favorite Classic Comics (non-review) Thread
"There. I Said It"
"It's always interesting to see what other people here think about various comic books and comic book characters, and there have been some great discussions in that thread." -- lobsterjohnson
The Brother Power the Geek Award (Funniest Member)
Slam_Bradley
"There's nothing like a pithy, terse, 'Nailed-it!' wham, bam, thank you, Slam comeback, remark, witticism, or coup de grace." -- Prince Hal
Favorite Beyond The Back Issues Thread
Off The Racks
"It keeps me up to date on the new comics that I still get from my LCS. I love the reviews by the participants and it's fresh every week. " -- Icctrombone
The Krypto Award (Friendliest Member)
Juggernaut
"He is everywhere! He comments on a wide variety of threads. His posts are supportive. He follows so many members. I enjoy his posts.
This forum is a much better place with his support, insights, and presence." -- Michael James
Favorite Fan Fiction or Fan Art Piece
Art of Coinkadink
"His whole 'Art of Coinkadink' thread is chock full of wonderfully retro superhero illustrations...[his] illustration of Batman and his rogue's gallery is so good that it could easily be on sale as an officially licensed DC poster, as far as I'm concerned." -- Confessor
The Uatu Award (Most knowledgeable member)
Cei-U!
"Not only does he seemingly know everything about old American funny books, but he manages the tricky balancing act of simultaneously being incredibly generous with sharing his knowledge and enriching our discussions, without ever once coming across like a know-it-all smart arse." -- Confessor
Favorite Review Thread
Teen Titans from The Beginning
"The series runs the gamut from the ridiculous to the sublime, and Our Fearless Leader's issue-by-issue analysis reflects and celebrates that." -- Cei-U!
The Jasper Sitwell Award for new member whose activity has most benefited the community
Codystarbuck
"He's really thrown himself into the site, not only with a review thread but with a fascinating two-part edition of the CCF Podcast." -- The Captain
The Captain Jim Zimmerman Award for best overall member who most exemplifies the spirit of the CCF
Roquefort Raider
"I would also like to nominate Roquefort Raider, who is knowledgeable, perceptive, articulate, assertive, and incisive, but is also unfailingly respectful, gracious, and temperate.
His range is vast. He created a Savage Sword of Conan review thread that is staggeringly thorough and erudite, and can pivot to a heady and equally erudite discussion of economics in the Politics thread, knock you out with Bras d'Orion, and then finish with a flourish anywhere from the Book Review thread to Meanwhile. The guy's like a pitcher with a top-notch, fastball, curve, slider and screwball. (That's really, really good, if you're not a baseball type.)
Vive Roquefort Raider!"
-- Prince Hal
A heartfelt congratulations to all of our winners, nominees, and participants. Thanks, EVERYONE, for a third amazing year at the CCF. Here's to the fourth!
