A background-less cover from Jonah Hex (a rarity) by Ed Hannigan: This cover looks familiar... Super familiar...

Did you feel #0 would be too on the nose?

Whose the foxy gal with the gun? Contessa Valentina Allegro de Fontaine ("Val"), Fury's GF during the Steranko run. If you meant the Hex cover, I think it might be Madame .44 (I think it referred to the calibre of her guns, but you may have another theory), from the final few issues of All-Star Western in the late 50s/ early 60s. Sweet goodness even her name is hot. Steranko joins the ranks of skilled female figure artist. Not that I'm oppose to cowgirls (and I'm totally cool with my "other theory") I just haven't read any Jonna Hex, but I'm intrigued.

This cover looks familiar... Super familiar... I honestly did not know that this cover was a homage before posting it here. It was in my mind because I recently acquired a copy for my Jonah Hex collection, and it's the only white cover in the entire run. Guess you can always learn something new about your favourite titles.

Alas the cowgirl is not Madame .44 (although that would have been awesome). She is a rodeo performer named Carolee who only appeared in this issue: the latest in a long line of gorgeous women who threw themselves at the disfigured gunfighter. I suspect Coralee's outfit might have been a deliberate tip of the hat to Madame .44, though.

The cut-off is 10 years, right? (Otherwise enough other issues to pick from.)

The extent of my knowledge or the character is based on the few (if only two maybe) episodes of Batman TAS he was in. Unlike most boys at a young age, I didn't have the cowboy fantasy. I remember watching westerns with my grandfather, but it never really stuck. I was too busy watching more science fiction with my grandmother and father. But I need to rectify that even if it's checking the library for a TPB to get a feel for the character.

Did you feel #0 would be too on the nose? Yeah, I thought of going with the Zero issue, but it would've been a cop out...at least to me.
