The only Renegade title I can remember buying was their Sherlock Holmes series, which was cancelled after a few issues when it turned out they were using the characters and stories without permission.
Can't wait to finally get my collection sorted later so I know what's what where
A sorted collection? INCONCEIVABLE!!! Collections are meant to be disorderly and piled up awkwardly in a haphazard manor waiting to tumble over into a vastly far messier pile of confusion. What kind of sicko are you trying to have your collection sorted out and knowing where things are? You poor delusional fool...

They're mostly not bagged or boarded, so I guess that gives me partial redemption ?
I remember a shop in Southern California very much like what you're describing. Had been there since the 70's.

Cases of Sherlock Holmes by Dan Day ran for a healthy 20 issues, the last five of which were published by Northstar.
I've never heard of Northstar. I'll have to check out what they published.
Horror publisher, mainly (Northstar); short-lived, bought out by Andrew Rev, who also picked up the remains of Comico (Elementals, mainly). Probably best known for the early issues of Tim Vigil's Faust. That will probably tell you all you need to know about the kind of material they generally published. if you aren't familiar with Faust...
and that's one of the tamer covers. The series had enough blood pouring through it to make Sam Peckinpah nauseous. Viva la 90s!

Hmm. Either I'm badly misremembering or they worked something out with the estate.
The only thing i got from this publisher was Open Season, story of three 20 somethings roommates and their interactions... most fun issue was #6, The Black Issue, which was a bunch of short stories about their lives in college or so... and the Filipino Head Boxing story!
