because I ask myself that all the time, when seeing retcon-refuse regurgitated rapidly week after week. then i wondered what Doom's 'expression', while glowering upon retcon onanism would be, then pondered how hard an expression would be with the mass of scar tissue he'd have suffered (DID suffer; earlier retcons can S!*k it), then thought Icctrombone might like a raw pencil-progression of attempting to capture that.
so here it is, with a 5 cent pencil on 1 cent sheets off a non USA stenographer's pad from 1986. (It had great texture. Unlike anything drawn by Allred). these jpegs are all original size attempting to capture how art looked like before the 1960's shift to 10"x15" original art size.

I was going to do a more 'finished by current #@@!! standards, but my protege pointed out that in a forum dedicated to love of classic comics, bearing in mind gil kane pencils of the 60's, it would be superfluous.
