I just re read Vol I today. I still think it was a great concept to show heroes aging in real time. Yet still making Clark & Bruce timeless thru comic book science. Fun read. Fun concept. Was it ever revealed who Bruce married?
Anyone else like or dislike the 3 volumes?

I like em all and think it was the last DC work I can remember of Byrne's. Sad.

I like em all and think it was the last DC work I can remember of Byrne's. Sad. I'm sure he did more after that. He did the job of "artbot" with Gail Simone on Action Comics. I think he did some All-New Atom with her too. He did a dreadful JLA arc with Chris Claremont. I think his Doom Patrol launched out of there. He also did a very good arc with Roger Stern in JLA Classified. As for Generations... Volume I was great. It's among my favorite John Byrne stories of all time. Volume II was very good as well. Volume III was where the concept ran out of steam for me.

Yes, you're right, but I guess Generations was the last DC work of his I enjoyed.
I was crushed at how horrible his Doom Patrol was. One of the biggest let downs ever as a fan.

I'm pretty sure Blood of the Demon was after Generations, too. It wasn't bad, just really blah. I can't believe I stuck with it as long as I did.

I didn't need anymore after that.

I enjoyed it, but strangely I found the use of real-time more confusing than standard comic book time. Am I the only one who thinks it looks like Superman is face-palming Batman's outrageous costume here?

I liked the first series a lot. Good concept, well executed. I read the second series, but was really over the idea by then.

I loved it, as I'm always a sucker for "alternate versions". The first run was magnificent. The second was pretty good, filling in the gaps. I disliked the third. It definitely raised the "out of ideas" red flag.
And, no, I don't think they ever showed Bruce's wife, as a nod to all those Imaginary Tales that showed Superman with Lois, but Batman's wife remained in the shadows.

How could you forget Lab Rats! The Disney XD kidcom is ten times better than that rag.
