One of the local shops in the area set up in a new place to sell comics this week...as a vendor at the Vans Warped Tour show in Cuyahoga Falls Ohio. The kicker, Valiant sponsored their appearance trying to promote their brand to a new audience.

you can see more pics and video form their set up at their Facebook page. I am not sure how well they did at the show, but I do like that they and Valiant are making an effort to reach new audiences. I am usually critical of Valiant and some of their unrealistic expectations of their brand's growth potential in the direct market, but I will give them kudos for trying to expand the reach of comics outside the walls of the comic shop, which is a dinosaur of a destination venue in a world where those types of stores don't flourish anymore.
