Forget the comics, dude! Get out there and get utterly debauched. Oh, trust me...if it was my last night on Earth, one of the LAST things I would be doing would be reading comic books! But I would probably be with a bunch of comic book readers! |

We're currently sharing our top ten comic book sagas over in the special event section, so there are a lot of recommendations there for what everyone's favorite must-read comics are! That's for longer stories, of course. For single issues, well, I can't believe nobody has mentioned Astro City #1/2 yet:    |

Very few people know about that masterpiece.
Kyle Baker really is a genius cartoonist.

Very few people know about that masterpiece. Kyle Baker really is a genius cartoonist. It is unbelievably good and touching. I still have 5-6 copies here at home bought on the cheapos since my firt copy off the newstands, just to give away to friends interested in the medium. |

Ha ! Good for you.
I've also pointed people towards it as one of the best examples of the medium's potential.
Baker reminds me in many ways of Kurtzman in that regard.
