Funny That. It will be exciting to see what's in store the last 2 days. There are some glaring omissions , so far.

If you know of a community with a more diverse, well-rounded series of tastes in classic comics, please pass me the link. While I'm familiar with most works mentioned thus far, it's because I've made it my business to know great works over the years. If our top ten was largely unfamiliar to me, I'd strongly suspect something had gone wrong. I for one am enjoying every moment of this event. If you're not, why not move on instead of repeatedly nay-saying it to anyone who will listen? Oh certainly I did, but as it is going, I feel it's turning into something else, that's all. And I really don't see what would be wrong if it was composed of stuff largely unfamiliar, as the "saga" theme opened the field IMHO, but that's all it is. I'm not pointing fingers at anyone.

I agree with you on some of the picks, AGS, but it's just an informal listing of favorite stories. Nothing more. And no one should be shamed into viewing their picks as not valid or dumb. I like the obvious love that the posters feel for their choices. You can see it from their write ups.

I completely agree with you, on that, and I haven't shamed anyone's choice (contrary to a few comments I've read). Again, I'm just saying that the title of the survey made it look much less informal and way more specific, which triggered a strong interest and investment in me for it, I thought the "saga" title should have had us stretch our memory muscles in a different way taan usual

I see nothing informal about the hours of work members are putting into their lists and writeup for this event. That's precisely why it's insulting to each of those people when someone who admits he's making up his list as he goes continues to judge everyone else's efforts again and again and again.

That is not what I did, I never judged the quality of anyone's entry for pete's sake, not a single one! Some have done so though.
And I take as much time in this as most, obviously. I'm figguring out the order of my entries as it goes, not my entries, way to mischaracterize me! Plus, I'm not the one who said anything about it being informal, quite the opposite! So if someone is being insulting there, it isn't me.

Sorry guys. By informal , I meant it's not world crushingly important what you choose. No one wins anything or loses anything. It's all for fun.

As for the write ups, AGS has put a lot of work into his entries. You can see it. On some of my entries, I kept it brief because many of the members know the books by now.

But, ya know, he never said that or anything. And how was I insulting anyone with that? About "Informal", yes, can't you ses I acually said it wasn't an informal thing at all, contrary to what you claimed about me?! I actually said the same thing you did about it not being informal, despite your claim for whatever reason...

I actually said the same thing you did about it not being informal, despite your claim for whatever reason... I'll tell you this entire disagreement between you two is entirely my fault. I first suggested the word "saga". At the time, I was looking for a generic catch-all word that could cover both creator runs and story-arcs. I wanted something where you could just put your favorite comics, whatever they may be. Watchmen or two issues of Superman or a hundred issues of Avengers. I was searching for a word that would be suitably broad and encompassing, and you interpret the word to mean something specific. As far as I can tell, that semantic disagreement has led to days of back and forth between you two. I'll keep searching for a good broad catch-all word that people won't interpret too precisely.

I don't think there's a reason to fret, the term works perfectly well and it's use by us was laid out clearly at the start of the event.

The term is perfectly suitable, and I have no intention of changing it. Very big of you to try to be a peacemaker here, but none is needed.

Shax, this was fun. I purchased Metamorphosis Odyssey because of it. I might have to read some Hellboy and Bone as a result of this survey.
