It's happened to me a few times, sporadically, but not recently. Did you figure out what you did differently to solve the issue? It's getting really annoying now. you can always contact proboards directly to get help with this sort of thing. since I haven't made any recent changes to the site and no one else is experiencing the phenomenon, it's the kind of issue only they can assist with. here's the link: support.proboards.com/board/44/support-board

I am still experiencing it on the laptop and never could find a solution, even with going to proboards, so I gave up trying and just deal with it. I am hoping it won't be an issue when we finally get the new desktop set up (once the remodel is far enough along for it to have a place to be set up). It's definitely something with proboards as a whole, not just the CCF though, as it does it on other proboards sites I am a part of.

It's doing it to me now. It will go to the first page with new posts, but not to the newest post itself.

Bad Posting or something ?
I just go back to the previous screen and retry
It usually works the second or third time

Twice so far today, I've posted something and after I click "Post", it brought me to the top of the page instead of to my post, or the one I was replying to. Edit: make that three times; it happened on this post too. The url was classiccomics.org/thread/4746/me-new-posts?page=2&scrollTo=236916 but it didn't scroll to the post. Edit 2: happened again when I clicked "Save Changes". Same URL. I clicked the reload button in my browser and it still went to the top of the page. Edit 3: I clicked 'New' on the Books thread and it brought me to the top of the page. URL was classiccomics.org/thread/44/purpose-books-notes-review-thread?page=105&scrollTo=236909. Then I came to the Help Desk board and clicked 'New' on this thread and it brought me to the top of the page, not to Caped Crusader's post which was the only new one. Edit 4: It's continued to put me at the top of the page in every thread I've clicked 'New' on.

I'm experiencing the same thing that Rob Allen reported earlier and it's been bugging me since Saturday and I've not come up a good way to share this and what Rob said a minute ago is exactly what I'm experiencing right now.
It's even goes back to the top of the page after I've just edited the post to bold Rob name.

As no changes have been made on the CCF's end as of late, it's either got to be something that changed on your computer or something with Proboards' software itself. I'd recommend bringing this to their support forum. MRP's negative experience aside, I've never known them to be anything less than helpful and obliging. Please let me know how it works out.

More info: Go to new posts works now for me in Firefox, so looks like it's something to do with Chrome specifically.

Here's a twist. I use it at work and at home on Chrome. At home it goes to the new post. At the office it doesn't.

Okay. So this is happening to A LOT of folks. Not good. I'm moving into my new house literally tomorrow. I haven't been online much as I have been making crazy amounts of prep. But if this isn't resolved on its own, I will look into it as soon as I can. Under any normal circumstances, I'd handle this faster, but I literally don't have the time right now.

Same as Slam - I'm at home now, still using Chrome, and it works correctly now.

It's not the biggest thing in the world. A minor annoyance, but livable.

It's not the biggest thing in the world. A minor annoyance, but livable. I've been living with it for a month or so now. You're right, it's livable, but it does get tiresome after a while, and it takes longer to look in on threads, so I find myself being a lot more selective which threads I check in on when I do come to the site. I have less time to play on the site until I get the house projects done, so I needed to cut back time here anyways, but with this little tic adding to the time it takes to keep up on stuff I find myself skipping more and more threads altogether. -M
