Rhodey definitely tried to make like he was the same guy for a while... I remember the other people discussing it in Avengers, then later them not trusting him for a while... especially Cap, since he know Tony was actually in the armor. Rhodey was Iron Man around the time of Secret Wars? or was that during the first West Coast Avengers run? I'm not sure if those were published around the same time or not. |

I'm not sure if those were published around the same time or not. yes, IIRC, that was the reason he wasn't on the team for long (in universe, anyway).. Hawkeye was suspicious he was a different guy in the armor, and Rhodey wouldn't tell him the story. |
