Henry Pym became Goliath because Stan Lee finally realized that name was far more evocative and exciting than the relentlessly lame Giant-Man.
Cei-U! I summon the editorial epiphany!

She "died" at the end of Secret Invasion, but Bendis brought her back towards the end of his run on Avengers. Right, my bad, it was Secret Invasion, not Civil War. I accidentally conflated two abysmally godawful crapfests. The only redeeming virtue I saw in Secret Invasion as a company-wide event is that by bringing back "abducted" characters taken away at different points in the past, it allowed Marvel to bring back heroes who had been imprudently killed in the course of some crappy story or other. Unfortunately, the massacre of heroes started again almost immediately.

I thought the premise behind Secret Invasion, i.e. a Skrull infiltration of Earth using their shapeshifting ability had a lot of promise. It could have been a paranoia focused thriller featuring super-heroes and a really daring and different type of story to tell in the MU, but what we got instead was a poorly executed punch 'em up summer action movie style comic, which is a dime a dozen and this was not even a particularly good one of those. It (along with Final Crisis) marked the end of my regular new comics purchasing and started a 4-5 year hiatus form comics overall for me. As for changing identities, I think Hank Pym felt he had to have a new identity every time the Wasp changed costume, and since she holds the title for most costumes by a super-hero ever, he has to hold the title for most costumed identities by a character ever. -M

Rachel Summers was known as a Hound when she was introduced in "Days of Future Past". Later she would become the Phoenix which I think is mostly what she's been known as. At one point she's stranded 2000 years in the future where she founds a rebel group to fight the forces of Apocalypse and is known as Mother Askani. She dropped the Summers last name because Cyclops is a jerk and goes by Rachel Grey. Her newest and current code name in the X-Men Gold title is Prestige.
