Great episode! I'd love to pull out and re-read the issues, but the collection is a mess. I'm pretty sure I have full runs of the 70s revival and the Evanier issues, but remember little or nothind except generally liking them.
The story about Evanier's difficulties with the marketing department kind've underscores how, at that late date, the industry really hadn't "grown up." It's still feeling those effects.
Thanks for the shout-out re: Reed Crandall. He's always the first aerist I associate with Blackhawk, though it probably should be Chuck Cuidera. His run on the book mainly (only?) as an inker must be some kind of record.

Glad you enjoyed it! We had maybe too much fun recording it, as evidenced by the 3 hour run time for this conversation, and that's with probably another hour of tangents that ended up on the cutting room floor.
