This is another new favorite of mine, I love it when Stan delves into Japanese culture and this story is a fine example of that with nearly the whole first issue devoted to simply illustrating the process of brewing soy sauce. It was really neat to learn how it's made. Soy sauce has long been a favorite condiment of mine but I never really thought about how it was made until this story and I was surprised how similar to the process of brewing beer.
A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP
It is interesting how we get hooked on stories that teach us something new.
Those are always my favorite Usagi stories, in much the same way that I love when Mike Mignola sneaks in retellings of traditional folklore into Hellboy I love when Stan gives us little cultural lessons in Usagi.
