I wasn't sure whether or not to include this story as it was created simply so Stan could walk us through his whole creative process and in the intro he suggests that it may not be in continuity but I thought it was a fun story with a great gag at the end. It's inclusion at the end of Book 29 was also fortuitous as it touched on a topic that shaxper and I started over on the Toad Oil story thread about Stan's choice of animals. Over there I wondered how Stan chose which animals he uses for people and judging by this story I'm in good company as Sergio Aragones posed the same question to Stan. Stan originally said he never used a skunk because they don't live in Japan and Sergio pointed out that neither do Rhinos to which Stan said simply that he just uses what comes to mind but he wasn't sure if a skunk would work as he wasn't sure if the people in his stories had tails. That last but threw me a bit as it had never crossed my mind, I actually went back and looked as I could have sworn Kitsune had a tail but she never did but it would certainly fit her character to use her long, fluffy tail as a tool of misdirection if she did have one.
