#1 - Werewolf by Night #32 - first appearance of Moon Knight and one of the final four issues I need to complete my WBN run. I have enough money saved that I can get a decent copy of it without that being my only purchase for the show, so hopefully I can find one; there was only one copy on the floor at last year's show, it was beat to hell and back, and the guy still wanted $150 for it, so fingers crossed. Yeah, that's one I sort of half-heartedly pursued a few times before realizing I don't really care for Moon Knight outside the Moench/Sienkiewicz run from 35 years ago. I've had WBN #33 (part 2 of the story) for ages and paid very little for it. I think I'll leave it there; I have bigger Knights to Moon, so to speak. Good luck. I hope you find one.

I guess if I'm gonna comment, I should list mine. All super-expensive, but not entirely out of the realm of possibility.
#3 - Captain America Comics #66: Bucky is shot! Great caption-heavy cover by Syd Shores, who also handles the interiors. Introduction of The Golden Girl (Besty Ross, because of course she is!).
#2 - Fight Against Crime #20: Notorious title from 1950s publisher Story Comics, Inc. Lurid throughout, they really upped the ante with #20, a cover that must be seen to be believed. Enough to make you think that maybe Dr. Wertham was on to something.
#1 - Amazing Fantasy #15: All Lee/Ditko horror and sci-fi interiors. "The Bell Ringer," "Man in the Mummy Case," "There are Martians Among Us!" Eh, the lead feature is about some skinny bookworm who develops bug powers or some such. Nutty, I know. I'll probably read that one last.

Appreciate the well-wishes. I'm torn on acquiring this book. As an obsessive completionist, I "need" to get it so that I can finish my run of WNB. However, it irks me that I will probably wind up paying more for this book than I did for my Captain America #100 or my X-Men #94 or any other number of books that did not feature the first appearance of a C-List character; the first appearances of The Falcon or Luke Cage don't even go for as much as this book, and they're at least B-Listers at this point (although Cage may be an A-minus-Lister at this point; not one of the Big Guys, but certainly important enough).

Conan the Barbarian #24, 1st full appearance of Red Sonja and one of a handful of CtB issues I need for the run...(23 is her actual first appearance but this one gets he glory, much like Hulk 181) I have both in the BWS archives, so I can be patient and find it at the right price. -M
If you want to see the original colours, it was reprinted in Marvel Treasury Edition 15, which you can probably find for much cheaper price. Conan the Barbarian 1, 2, & 3 might be my own top three, but Savage Tales 1 and a few other things would be up there as well.

However, it irks me that I will probably wind up paying more for this book than I did for my Captain America #100 or my X-Men #94 Really depends on when you bought those two, as you could be comparing apples and oranges. I bought JIM #84 (about F+) for $67 and Incredible Hulk #2 (about VG) the same day for $32 in 1992 . Last year, I plunked down $1400 for Avengers #4 in 7.5. I know! But, at a certain point, I decided it was either get it or forget it. They ain't getting any cheaper, unfortunately. Having said that, I am NOT a completist, and so have the luxury of being able to walk away from things I don't REALLY, REALLY want. You're in a different space.
