Good topic! I am a sucker for certain Spidey villains. Shocker and Scorpion are two I gravitate towards and if they are in the ish or on the cover, I am likely to want it. Also, anything where a villain and hero are engaged one-on-one battle. Some of these are on my want list for that reason alone.   Also, with Batman, I like the Joker, Riddler, and Deadshot. |

I can't think of a single villain who could compel me to buy a book simply because her or she was in it. Guess I'm just not wired that way.

If any one, it would be Ming the Merciless, but it would come down to creators/concept for a final decision. There have been some good lternate takes on the Flash Gordon mythos and some pretty terrible ones (Dan Jurgens I am looking at you).  -M |

There are many villains which will have me check the issue they are in to see if it is worth picking up but many times a great villain doesn't always get a great story in other series. Some I will check because I like the villain:
