Colorists...to me, they are part of the art. Maybe not as much as the artist (because most great artist's work still look great in black and white) but to me colour is a key part of making a cover pop, and Tatjana Wood gets a lot of credit for the colour on DC books through the 70's. Like this one. Kubert did draw it and maybe this bucks the topic of "only women" but for me, its worth posting.

Interesting how many wives worked as colorists: Michelle Wolfman, Glynis Oliver Wein, Tatjana Wood, Leslie Zahler. Of course some were already working in the business when they met their husbands and some got into things alongside their spouses. Roz Kirby even lent a hand a time or two.
