EW features an article about and trailer for So Much Damage: How Image Comics Changed the World, a 5 part documentary about Image comics that will be shown on SyFy.com. From the article... The trailer looks intriguing, I'll have ot check out the documentary when it drops. -M

Looks cool.
I liked the Image Revolution doc from 2014, but it’ll be cool to see another filmmaker’s take.

The full documentary hit today, all 5 parts can be found here at SyFyWire. I watched the first part already, and it's a bit self-congratulatory in tone, but overall a solid piece and very informative. -M

Finished watching all five parts. Well done, but again pretty biased in viewpoint. Worth watching, but could have gone more in depth in some areas. it was interesting watching the body language and tone on some of the founders and partners, and seeing how they answer the question as much as what the answer itself was.
All 5 parts are available on youtube as well...
Part 1: The Founding
Part 2: the Beginning
Part 3:Trouble in Paradise
Part 4: The Walking Dead
Part 5: Legacies and Impact

Thanks for posting the YouTube links @mrp this was interesting. I laughed during the first part where Jim Lee mentions certain people not being able to draw feet. In part 4 Kirkman describing how he had to lie about there being aliens in Walking Dead was kind of amusing as well.
There are a bunch of other interesting interviews with comicbook creators on the Syfy Wire YouTube account including ones with John Romita Sr that are definitely worth checking out for those interested.

I only started checking out SyFy Wire this past summer and it has become my top source for genre news in the last few months* (not that there's a lot of competition these days that has anything worthwhile to check out). I am still exploring the back catalog of features they have. -M The only other source I really get stuff from is my google newsfeed which I have tailored to show me headlines on topics of interest to me and stuff my wife points out form her facebook feed where we follow/are friends with a number of creators of interest to us. Occasionally a headline or link will take me to a story on Bleeding Cool, Newsarama, CBR or comicbook.com, but I don't actually go to these sites anymore.

Is Todd McFarlane an #$%hole to Rob Leifeld? I watched an Image panel at Chicago ComicCon a decade or so ago with the original founders, and Todd M. just spent all the time giving Rob crap (in, like, a "I'm pretending this is all in fun but it is DEFINITELY NOT ALL IN FUN" way.)
I was kind of annoyed and repulsed by it at the time, but now I want to see more of that.
