Went out to lunch today and brought my sketchbook along and my new leadholder with the blue non-scannable lead to try it out and just sketched some model sheets for something I am currently writing on spec. Not sure what format I am going to with it yet, prose of sequential, but I am still just playing with plot outlines and character sketches (usually prose character sketches but today I went more literal with two of the supporting characters). I ended snapping photos of them as an experiment to see how the blue reproduced in photograph (as opposed to a scan). They are raw and were more an exercise of me trying to visualize the characters more than anything else, but decided to throw them up anyways...

story is set in 2007...



Greg Jenson is a thin white dude in his mid-50s, ex-hippie who ran into a bit of trouble in the early 70s and was given a new life by the government (he now goes by Frank Carlson) and is now a pharmacist in Arizona who hangs out with some old bikers but has the veneer of respectability.



Jason Soucy is his handler for the feds, middle-aged African American guy, overweight, rumpled and disheveled clothing, boring middle management type who hates his job and counts the days until retirement when he can go fishing every day.

Unfortunately that thing form the past that sent Greg into a new life is about to resurface and turn both their lives into a steaming turd pile...
