Reptisaurus! -- Mentioned Blackhawks and that's a movie that I want to see and remember the movie Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow ... it's can be made -- but, most likely NEVER be made because not many people today remembers the Blackhawks. Spielberg has the option for Blackhawk as of last year, but it's going to be a bit before he starts work on it as he has a couple other movies in queue first, including a remake of West Side Story. -M

Anything that says "Based on the comic book by Rob Liefeld..."
The MCU version of Secret Wars (didn't think much of the comic book version).
Don't want to see any further live action, post-Modern takes on classic characters, Like the Jean Dujardin Lucky Luke. At least Terrence Hill got the tone right, even if the budget was miniscule) and it wasn't overly funny.
No Rocco Vargas movie, unless it is animated, in Daniel torres' style.
Probably don't want a Torpedo movie, 'cause I doubt it would have a sense of humor.
I don't want the movie that modern Warner (and Hollywood) would do for Adam Strange.
I don't want anyone else but Brad Bird to try The Spirit, again.

No Rocco Vargas movie, unless it is animated, in Daniel torres' style. I've asked this question many times over the years - has anyone ever tried anything like this? Not necessarily with Torres specifically, but with any comics artist? Some people say Speilberg's Tintin movie made some effort in this direction, though I haven't seen it, myself - and from what I recall of the preview, I don't think they really got there, if they were indeed trying.
I'd love to see someone try an animated Nick Fury based on Steranko. a Thor, FF, New Gods, Eternals based on Kirby, a Ditko Spiderman, etc, etc. I don't know if it would work - it would take a lot of serious thnking and ingenious creativity to transfer the energy of a static to an animated medium, but it's something that should be strived for by anyone making film versions of these characters and concepts.
It wouldn't be just a matter of taking, say, Kirby's drawing style and putting it into motion, they'd have to figure out a way of emulating the power of his static action scenes in animated form, which probably wouldn't be easy since, for one thing, he was using certain stylised techniques to convey energy and movement in a static drawing in a highly individual way - but animated films are already in motion, so how do you create a parallel effect that carries something like the feel of that very unique style?
Same with Steranko or Ditko or any of the others. Maybe it can't be done. But there was that animated Van Gogh film last year - what did everyone think of that? Certainly not a complete success, certainly open to criticism, but I'd say it went farther in this direction than any comics-based movie I can think of has done, or even attempted.

Well, the Marvel Super heroes syndicated show was shot from the artwork; but, that hardly counts. It hardly counted as animation, as there was little movement. Japanese animation has, usually adapted the look of the manga, within certain boundaries. Akira looks like Otomo's art, more or less, Astro Boy was Tezuka, Golgo 13 looked (mostly) like Saito, the anime derived from Leiji Matsumoto's work looked mostly like the manga, Lupin III looked like Monkey Punch's work. It's not an exact copy; all tend to look a bit heavier than on the page, since animation gives figures more mass. As for western comics? Well, the animated Asterix was't that far off, nor the Lucky Luke cartoons, the Smurfs looked pretty much like Peyo's comics. American animation? Not so much. Closest I could say would be Heavy Metal, to a point. Captain Sternn looked mostly like Wrightson's story. So Beautiful, So Dangerous was close to that story and Den was a decent Corben style. Harry Canyon and Tarna were not based on stories, per se; but, the stories and concepts were pretty much cobbled from Moebius. Neither captured the style. Juan Gimenez designed a lot of Harry Canyon; so, there is a similar aesthetic. Chaykin did some secondary work on Tarna (especially the band, in the bar) and took a pass or two at the main character. The Archie series were fairly faithful to the house style.
