So I've paid for a sub for Marvel Unlimited for a couple months, and it's not bad for keeping up with things I don't really want to read and store, but my main purpose for it it is to be able to read old stuff for review threads/footnote refs, etc.
The problem is I just can't get the darn thing to co-operate... it seems incredibly difficult to actually find a particular comic. is there a trick? Searching never seems to work.. instead of offering comics, it offers 'columns' that sometimes reference the comic with a link, and sometimes don't. Searching by series will sometimes work, but more often only gives current stuff.
Anyone have any tips? Or is it just not designed to do what I want it to?

Searching never seems to work.. instead of offering comics, it offers 'columns' that sometimes reference the comic with a link, and sometimes don't. Searching by series will sometimes work, but more often only gives current stuff. Anyone have any tips? Or is it just not designed to do what I want it to? I often use the release calendar to find what I want more quickly if I know what I am looking for. It's a link way down at the bottom of the page. If I know the cover date or a close approximation of it I set the date and it gives me a grid with all the books cover dated that month (not all may be available through unlimited though). So if I know I am looking for say Thor #136 that's cover dated Jan 1967 I set the calendar to Jan 1967 if I don't know the cover date I can easily check using Lonestar, GCD, or Mike's). If I am looking for a specific title but not issue, I use the browse by title option (on the menu bar). Click on the comics link, then go to browse in the menu bar and it should give you a drop down menu to choose how to browse (by title, creator, event, etc.) As you type in the title you're looking for in the alpha search bar it takes you to the title starting with the first letter then narrows down as you type more in. It can take a while one you get to a series if it's a long one as it starts with showing form the present backwards and if it's a long series like ASM, FF or Thor you have to add more issues a few times before it gives you the option to show all issues. It's not perfect, and not intuitive, but it is manageable even for a Luddite like me once you develop a couple of tricks. -M

I usually just go to browse and seek out the title that I want. My problem early on ( 3 years ago) was that the issues didn't load. It's okay now, I love it.

I didn't know about the calendar... that should be pretty helpful! Thanks!
