My friend Dan of Jim& Dan's Comics & Games (& Jim & Dan's Comic & Toy Shows) posted this pic of a delivery truck form 1944 sporting a Batman and Robin banner supplied by Independant News...
The image came from Robert Beerbohm who is working on a book called The Comic Book Store Wars, which sounds intriguing as well. This was one of many such images he found in doing research for the book.
