 I never hear anyone talk about this line, much like Dark Horse's superhero titles, Ghost or X.  Just picked up The Shield, The Fox, and The Black Hood.  They really look good but I've never seen them in a shop or heard anyone talk about them.  Amazingly, The Black Hood is still going.  |

Lots of reasons: scheduling delays. Some of the concepts are no where near what made the originals "charming". Some of the art is not my cup of tea.
The only one I enjoyed was The Fox.

Just got done with The Black Hood vol 1 trade Really good story by Duane (Punisher, X, Judge Dredd) Swierczynski and Michael (Jessica Jones, Daredevil, 24) Gaydos Bought it today. It was on sale. I really liked it. Mature Readers. Felt more "real life" than anything else I have read lately. I hope the rest of the series gets collected. |

If you like Black Hood you should try Dark Horse's X by the same Duane Swierczynski.
Dark Horse's heroes have just never done well.
The two that have done the best are Ghost and X, and they're both very good, though I really like some of the other characters as well like King Tiger, Hero Zero, Barb Wire, and Motorhead.

I liked some of Black Hood that I read, but it had alot of delays to the point where I gave up. When Ghost is written as an actual comic and not a pin up collection is pretty good, but it seems to waver back and forth. I never read X, as his team up with Ghost I did read didn't do anything for me.
They're the kind of books I don't desire enough to go find, but if I found them in a discount bin I might pick them up

Thanks for the recommendation. I loved Dark Horse's Capt Midnight. Ironically it rarely suffered delays. That kills a book for me unless it is something I really really like.
My daughter read the Ghost series & liked it.

Just got done with The Black Hood vol 1 trade Totally forgot about Vol 2 coming out in May. Ordered it last week. Should be in this week. Third (& final) volume comes out in Dec. |
