It's unseasonably warm here at the moment in England. On Thursday it was 29°C in London, which apparently makes it the hottest April day since 1949 (although I'm always skeptical of such claims, since meteorological readings are much more accurate and taken in many more locations nationally nowadays than they were 70 years ago). Still, regardless of that, it's pretty damn nice weather here this week, especially given the time of year. The weather ain't too good in New York and Massachusetts at the moment though, from what I understand...hope it warms up a bit by June when I get out there.

Confessor ... I was in London in 1991--In April for the week and the average temperature was 15 Celsius and a bit cloudy and rainy at times. I was on a tour that explores various exhibits and sites involving medieval times. Visited many castles and museums too. When, I left London--it's was 21 Celsius (near 70 degrees) and Sunny. Later on, I regretted leaving London--because the weather the next couple of days were sunny around 19-22 Celsius--I think it was then, flew to Paris and spent another week there. Nice weather you having in London--Lots warmer in Seattle ... Hope your trip to United States will be a pleasant one indeed--Weatherwise!

Yeah, that kind of temperature is much more normal for April time...along with a lot of "April showers". It's really very hot for the time of year here at the moment, but I love that. Hope your trip to United States will be a pleasant one indeed--Weatherwise! Me too...but to be honest, I don't really care if it rains a little. Just to be in America after all these years of wanting to go there will be enough. Hang the weather!

Spring appears to be on its way, as it is sunny right now, with temps heading to the mid-50s today and getting into the low-60s by mid-next week.
And I, with my deep love for the outdoors, will celebrate the lovely weather today by spending 7 hours inside at a Magic: The Gathering tournament.

Sunday temperature on the back porch was solid and steady 100 degrees from around 1pm til sunset. The weather forecast is saying 98 degrees all week which means in actuality it will be closer to 105 degrees at ground level with concrete and pavement in this city of the sun. Oy vey. Goodbye Spring, we never even got to meet you. Hello blazing hot summer hope you don't intend to hang around too long?. oh joy

This pretty much sums up the weather here lately...
the only break from the humidity is the severe thunderstorms that only make it more humid when they are done.

Weather’s lovely, really. Sunny with a nice little wind, and Mother Nature is flaunting her late spring beauty before July starts turning the grass yellow and crispy.
Late May-early June is becoming my favourite part of the year. I’ll leave the white winter months to the young'uns.

Heatwave coming next week -- Average High in my Area is 87 degrees from Monday to Friday. You Easterners. Call that a heat wave? Already endured about a week of 115 degrees 2 weeks ago. Last week and this been 100-105 thanks to Monsoonal rain over a few nights. Predicting 109 by Friday and closer to 113 for weekend through Monday the 23rd. Send me your fresh beef and I can turn it into good tasting jerky just by leaving it on my back porch

It's only 83 here today with fairly high humidity, and I refuse to go outside even to get the mail from the end of my driveway.

If you haven't done your chores or such by 10am then it isn't going to get done. Thankful my week is spent inside my office in the Air Conditioned Hospital. Saturday mornings out for a movie/lunch and the rest of weekend spent inside darkened house with AC going reading, watching DVD's listening to music until mid September. It is only getting worse here over the last 10 years. I can remember summer time as a teen running around all day in the heat and driving without AC in the car. None of that anymore.
