Eide's is pretty much my favorite comic shop on the planet, but it's also over two hours from my house, so I make a trip out there roughly once a year. We have a lot of folks here from both Ohio and Pennsylvania. I wonder if anyone would like to do a meet-up in Pittsburgh? We could meet up for a late lunch, head over to Eide's and spend a few hours combing the stacks, and then conclude with dinner before heading our separate ways.
Anyone interested?

As much as I'd like to, Pitt is close to a 4 hour drive from where I am at in Ohio, so it would be 8 hours of driving in one day, and I just can't do that alone anymore (and I don't think I can persuade Amy to go), and budget and schedule preclude an overnight trip right now.

Depending on when you come out, I might be in. Eide's is about 35 minutes from my house, so it would be an easy jaunt for me.
Keep me in the loop and we'll see how things work out.

According to Google Maps this is roughly 2,400 miles round trip. Put me down as a maybe.

It's a few thousand miles from where I am now, but it's only a bit over three miles from the apartment where my parents lived when I was born, and a similar distance from the hospital where my birth took place.

480 miles round trip for the next 6 weeks. Keep me posted. I may or may not be able to swing it.
Most likely, come mid-December it will be 9,300 miles round trip and I will be less likely.
(That's further than Confessor and he's in a different country. I'm staying local)

I'd love to do a real meet-up, but it seems even we American members living North of the Mason Dixon are just too darn far apart from one another.

I live south of that line. And yet you're closer to the proposed meetup location than those who live north of it
