I like this theme... And I've discovered that 1990-2003 was not a decade much in in the mood for nostalgia, unlike the decades preceding and following. But Dave Steven's was good for it in 1997... Great issue. But Dave had nothing to do with this...it was all Jim Silke. Still, that's a'spicy adventure!

I'm a fan of Go-Go checks as much as anyone, but this comic is a bit before the 1990-2003 time period as requested. Just a heads up

I guess I missed the year parameters. I will change it when I get home.

I'm not much of a Superman fan, but this cover contest gave me the chance to share one of my favorite stories starring Superman.

That was a predictable, but solid Elseworlds.

That was a predictable, but solid Elseworlds. I may have to read it again tonight, but I remember liking At Earth's End, as another good Superman Elseworld. Edit: And Speeding Bullets.

Was At Earth's End the one with a gun-toting Superman with a huge Santa beard fighting clones of Hitler on the moon?

I remember all but whether they were Hitler clones, but yeah gun toting white bearded Superman for sure. I remember some thing about bat clones made from Bruce Wayne's corpse too.

Sorry I couldn't make the above image larger, but anyone here not already familar with Big Bang Comics really needs to track these down. The interiors, though they switched to black and white with the seventh issue, maintain the style and tone of their covers. A really fun series!

One Superman Elseworlds I always recommend is Son of Superman by Howard Chaykin, David Tischmann, and JH Williams III. Really great story.

If you click on the image it makes it larger...it's the way attachments usually work on proboards.... -M
