Another great one! The painted cover is the work of Luis Dominguez (issue #89 from 1979). I was fingering through Gold Key titles, assuming there had to be a shadow-themed cover (so many "mystery" and occult titles), and you picked one of the best.

Decided to change my submission. I wanted to post my favorite cover of all time.
There must be a story of why that is your favorite cover. it is an okay Perez piece. But not great, the figures are awkward and the composition isn't that good.

I think it ties into another post of first comic ever read. This would be mine. I also find myself drawn to the color. The orange of Living Laser the green of Whirlwind. And Perez is my favorite artist. I know as far as covers go it's not the most dynamic. Didn't mean to criticize it (contest and all) but I understand. The emotions and memory of a comic contribute to our feelings about covers. Some of my favorites seem lacking to others.

I just don't know how I can vote in this contest ... this is the most difficult one for me to vote for.

So many I wanted to vote for, but Phil Maurice get the nod.
DubipR and Crimebuster get honorable mentions this week and I would have voted for either had not PM broken out the Frazetta Buck Rogers.
