Congrats Farrar, that cover was a great find. I am surprised no one threw any shade my way for the Spider-Man cover. It probably speaks to the number of great covers this go around. Here is the other cover I was thinking about.

Yep, a terrific and well-deserved win for Farrar. Congrats! Be sure to watch for me on Last Chance Covers, where I'll try to fight my way back in to the competition. (That's a Top Chef reference, for those not in the know.)

Thanks everyone, especially to those who voted for the cover. I'd come across that Strange Tales cover months ago online and was blown away. As I may have mentioned I love those 1950s Atlas covers by Burgos and Bill Everett. Btw the gcd makes an educated guess that the Strange Tales #52 cover was colored by "Stan Goldberg ?". Stan G has said "in the 1950s [for Stan Lee]...I always did the covers because they were the most important thing" (Alter Ego 18, p. 16). Thanks again ...new contest up shortly.
