I'm interested in Berger Books but not Shelly Bond's Black Crown at IDW.

Great interview. Vertigo comics kicked @$$ back in the '90's. I had taken a hiatus from comics from around 1987 - 1992, and what brought me back into collecting were the then-new Dark Horse Star Wars titles, DH's Grendel: War Child, and DC's Vertigo comics. I remember seeing Trades (which were also relatively new at that time) of Black Orchid, Death the High Cost of Living, and Neil Gaiman's Sandman titles @ Border's Books - I was very intrigued by these stories. Great stuff here. DC's Vertigo comics were edgy, innovative, ballsy, and unique. There definitely wasn't anything else like Vertigo out there, nor will there ever be.
