One of the local vintage toy dealers here is a massive Superman collector. Zach (who goes by That Vintage Toy Guy when he works shows) is a friend of a friend who I have met on several occasions and done business with (I bought my first Micronauts piece when I started getting back into vintage toys form him a few years ago and I just bought the loose Flash Gordon figure from Mattel's line based on the Filmation animated series from him last month at Jim and Dan's Show. I knew he was big into collecting Superman, but I didn't realize how big-he has over 10,000 unique Superman items. One of the news shows in Columbus did a piece on him and his collection and you can watch the segment here. Here's Zach with part of his collection... and Zach set up at a show last year, sporting his Superman pride... You can check out his vintage toy facebook page to see what he has for sale, see his toy show set ups or check out some of his Superman stuff. He also has an ebay store for those who use evilbay. This was his set up this past weekend at the Columbus Toy Show (which I didn't attend as my budget is being saved for Gem City this weekend) He's actually paying his way through dental school by selling vintage toys, which, when you think about it, is a pretty amazing feat. -M
