Have never read. Seen a few Trades here and there but not caught my attention. The movie helped put back in my thoughts so possible purchase in future

Read and overall enjoyed. Nice tribute to the old Superfriends cartoon.

Haven't read this since it came out, and remember liking it back then. LOVED the Valerian movie and sincerely hope it becomes a franchise. Will be getting this on dvd when it comes out.

100 (tie). Elric of Melniboné

Marvel's graphic novel line was great back when it first started. Elric was one of the reasons why and P. Craig Russell was fantastic with this tragic character. I'm not the biggest sword & sorcery reader but I really, really liked this. There have been other great Elric stories, but this one is definitely near the top IMO.

I love politics, history and current events, and obviously superheroes and comics, so this should be fantastic, when I finally get around to reading it.

99. John Sable, Freelance

Brother Beavis (not his real name) and I liked this back in the day. Grell's best work IMO.

Yes, this is my nomination, but, I promise you anyone reading this will not be disappointed. You hear about how great early Valiant was, and this is definitely one of those gems. Shooter and Barry Windsor-Smith, people !

I remember hunting down the Fireside book and liking it but not remembering much except the Surfer dancing with that golden Starfire-looking chick.

94. Conan The Barbarian, #1-100

I've got bits and pieces but not the entire run. Similar to it, I have the first 16 volumes of the collected Savage Sword of Conan that I'm looking forward to reading some time. I'm sure these first 100 issues would be great as well.

Read the reprint of this as a kid; great concept and a game changer back in the Silver Age, but I haven't read it since

I have a couple of these in my comixology acc but have never been able to get into them. I find the semi-cartoony characters to be off-putting. Theydont seem to fit the adventure style of the stories, evoking comedy books for me, say like Asterix. This is why Ive never been able to warm to John Severin,his art will always be associated with Cracked etc in my head,so his work on Sgt Fury et al never rings true ...for me.

Im in the process of a ginormous Grendel read currently,so looking forward to this. In the 80's it was one of the few books screaming for attention for all the right reasons.

IMHO one of the best books of the 80's(for 2-3 years that is). Such a nice change from capes, much like Criminal and the like today.

Im pretty sure the first Avengers comic I collected(on purpose, rather than just read) was the 2nd or 3rd issue of this. Perez made my teenie head explode, and became my favourite superhero artist for the next 10 years or so(through to his WW run).

Around the same time as my Avengers issue above, I started on Conan(86 or so) and for the next 3-4 years was a Howard fanatic. I also got to fall in love with the work of Frank Frazetta too, so theres no bad here at all.
