Rob Allen ... My LCS carries this magazine and I'm pretty impressed with it. I've brought home a few copies and helps me think of ideas of what to share here.

Retro Superhero Tin SignsI've seen this so many times ... Wonder Woman! When, I was traveling a lot in the 80's and onwards ... and during my vacation ... I see these signs in Bars and Taverns for a quick bite; like a juicy hamburger because they are generally better than most and they open late and sometimes you need to stop there for a good meal. In my area ... I don't see them that much, but in certain places like Vancouver B.C., Portland Oregon, Boise Idaho, and others they do have some of these signs up in their establishments and they were popular in the 60's to the 80's and all that. Even, in Honolulu Hawaii .... I saw a couple of Batman's like this one below. and also a bar in the same city ... Honolulu had all of these signs posted in different parts of the bar showing their loves for both Batman and Superman. They are still being used today and loved seeing these great tin signs.

Those tin signs remind me of something similar my sister bought for me. It's intended to look like an old distressed copy of an Amazing Spiderman issue. Where he's swinging along with a little girl in his hands. I'll try to remember to take a picture and post it here when I get home tonight.

Record SelectorMy brother (my next oldest) and I had four of these in our bedroom that holds nearly 100 (96 records) Records and he had a ballpark of 70 records that he likes and I had about 26 of them that we play on our record player about a hour a day. That's the rule of our family back then. So, we usually listen to records in the evenings after dinner and that our music time from 6pm to 7pm and watch television with the family from 7pm to 11pm. I was allowed to stay up to watch television until 11pm during my high school years. These things are a godsend to keep track of your records and all that. It's makes it really easy to find them and that's the beauty of it. I had my records in the back and his in the first three and that's how we organized it. I just can't remember how much we paid for it ... but it was pretty inexpensive thing to buy and even my Dad brought a couple of them for his Jazz Records too. He was a Benny Dorsey and Jack Armstrong Fan back then. Anyway, these are just great listening to records back then ... My brother still have all them and my records are still at his house and every two weeks we listen to records now and then. Great thing to have back then.

Presto Salad Shooter 80's GadgetMy Mom saw this gadget on television one night and decided to pay for it and find this product quite amusing and easy to use and use it every other day to make dinner salad and it's a lifesaver for her to use. I even used to make dinner salad and I find that chopping up celery and carrots a breeze and it's was a fun thing to use. It's was heavily advertised in the mid 80s and my sister-in-law still has it and she uses it for celery and carrots cutting! It was a popular product back then - according to my News Sources back then.
